    National Federation of the Disabled - Nepal is pleased to inform you all that, during the commemoration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities (2013) we are going to release the DRPI Country Monitoring Holistic Report.

  • November 30, 2013:

    A new report by the Health Council of Canada says that governments must make a greater effort to collaborate to improve health care for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis seniors. The report - Canada's most vulnerable: Improving health care for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis seniors, shows they often do not receive the same level of health care as non-Aboriginal Canadians because of poor communication, collaboration, and disputes between governments about who is responsible for the care of Aboriginal people.

  • November 18, 2013:

    November 22 and 23, San Salvador, El Salvador - Balcher Building. More than 50 persons with different types of disabilities will participate in a workshop - Learning about our Rights. People from across the country will 2 day workshop that will focus on human rights, social participation and monitoring issues. Participants will leave with extensive knowledge of human rights principles.

  • November 18, 2013:

    The efforts of a Winnipeg woman to help Aboriginal people with disabilities access training, education and employment were officially recognized at an awards ceremony held Oct. 13.
    Frances Sinclair was one of seven recipients of Manitoba Access Achievement Awards, sponsored by the Province of Manitoba and the Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities.
