State of Disabled People's Rights in Kenya, 2007

A training seminar for monitors was held in Nairobi, in February, 2006. During April and May, 2006, monitors with disabilities worked in pairs to conduct over 100 interviews in three regions of the country: Nairobi (urban), Rift Valley (urban / rural) and Nyanza (urban / rural) through which they gathering information about the human rights situation of people with disabilities. The coding and analysis of the monitoring data was led by a professor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Nairobi.
